It's Time to Celebrate!
Our Giant Bamboo Jegog Instruments are finished being
built, painted, and blessed!
Pictured bellow is our completed Jegog set with an
offering placed in front from the blessing ceremony on 2-14-14.
The instruments are residing under the roof of a pagoda at our Suar
Agung home in Jembrana, Negara, Bali as they await shipping...
Pictured bellow is our beautiful daughter, Ikko Suar Agung Dewi.
I believe she is about 5'2" or so, so you can get an idea about the scale of things... and remember, the largest (base) instruments are in the back!
That said, we still need to find a "nest" for our Gamelan Jegog set. If you have any ideas or leads on where we may be able to build our home for Gamelan Artha Negara, please let us know. The bamboo is sensitive to weather, so it would be best to store it in a climate controlled environment.
